The Hats for Hunger campaign was launched in 2008 by founder Andrew Castle when he was 9 years old.  He was inspired by a Heifer International catalog, and decided to make a difference himself.  He combined his love of animals and knitting to start Hats for Hunger.  His hand knit hats raised $1,500 the first year.

Hats for Hunger continues to grow and receives donated hats from around the country.  To expand the product line, logo baseball caps are now available.
